The package consists of a pair of AM2, small diaphragm condenser microphones that also come with a stereo microphone mount. The microphones include high-pass filters and pads, and are powered via phantom power supplied by the iO2 USB interface. The interface features dual XLR/TRS combo inputs that are microphone/line switchable.

Recording with the USB Recording Kit is achieved using the included Steinberg LE 4 software that provides 48 audio tracks, advanced MIDI tools for composition, recording, editing and mixing and is Mac and Windows compatible. Monitoring of audio is via a pair of 2-way M1Active 320 USB powered speakers that each include a one-inch silk dome tweeter and a three-inch woofer in magnetically shielded housing.
